Enrollment Procedures
We feel it is very important to build relationships with keiki and their 'ohana, therefore, our enrollment process requires several scheduled visits to our home.
During this time your 'ohana may view our family child care home's environment (both indoors & outdoors). We have a large indoor room, used primarily for our FCC keiki and a large outdoor play area. You may pick up an application and health form for your keiki's physician to complete. The initial visit is typically done after hours, so that I can spend one-on-one time w/ your 'ohana and address any questions you may have.
After your initial visit is complete and you feel our FCC is something your 'ohana & keiki could benefit from, we then do a keiki visit. The keiki visit is like a "play date", where you and your keiki spend time with the other FCC 'ohana. This enables you to observe how I am with the keiki, how your keiki responds to me, and how he/she might be in a family child care environment.
Once your application for enrollment is complete, you may schedule an 'ohana interview. During this time we will review our child care policies & procedures, review policies regarding our USDA Food Program, and sign an enrollment contract and tuition payment agreement form.
If space is available, payment of your keiki's tuition (as determined by his/her enrollment schedule) and registration fee is due by your keiki's start date. If you would like to reserve your keiki's space until a later start date, your registration fee & a $50 holding fee/per month is due immediately*. If space is not yet available, you may pay the registration fee to hold your keiki's spot until space is available (we only do this if we have a definite space opening).
*There is a 2 month holding fee limit, that is, you may not hold a space for your keiki for more than 2 months.
Enrollment is considered complete when your application is received, health form is completed by your keiki's physician, enrollment contract and tuition payment agreement form is signed, and tuition (or holding fee, if applicable) & registration fee is received.
